The essentials:

Ani Corné is a bilingual author writing in German and English since 1982. Her work spans poetry, novels, short stories, satire, comedy, crime fiction, and children's books.

After beginning her literary career in poetry, she expanded into multi-genre fiction, developing a diverse and cross-genre body of work. Selected titles are available in both German and English.

Corné has lived and worked internationally, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and for more than a decade in Italy. She is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.

From 2004 to 2010, she worked as a journalist, publishing political opinion pieces primarily in English-language media. Today, the author lives in Germany and focuses on her writing. In addition to her literary work, she is involved in international cultural and social initiatives, including her own project Interviewed by Friends.

When not writing or working on social projects, she follows her love of jazz—two of her novels are set at jazz festivals in France and California.

When asked about future projects in a recent interview, she replied:

“What’s next? Introducing my new English novel Dances With Women to as many readers as possible, finishing my thriller What Summer Blinds May See, finally going to the ‘Jazz à Vienne’ festival, and visiting old friends.”
